It is July 12th, people! JULY 12th. Maybe some folks live in states where kids go to school at the end of July, but here in Michigan, WE DON’T. Don’t you think the big men in charge should do a little research and market their products more wisely instead of irritating the hell out of the moms and dads out there who actually spend the money on all of the school supplies?! I don’t know about you, but I will purposely wait until the last possible minute to purchase my kids’ stuff, just so they don’t get my money in their greedy little pockets. Besides, I'm still stocking up on sunscreen, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, popsicles and Gatorade! Where are all the sales on that stuff, huh?
In my opinion, they should at least wait until August 1st. I actually saw the beginnings of the back-to-school stuff being put out on the 4th of the July weekend…(Cuz that’s what I wanna do…buy school supplies on a holiday weekend) and I fumed. I stomped out of the store so angry. My kids got out of school on June 16th. They had been on summer vacation for LESS THAN THREE WEEKS and those bigwigs at the corporate level think I wanna look at school supplies?! Nuts. That’s what that is. Just. Plain. Nuts.
I don’t know who they have in charge of their research and development, but I think somebody there needs to go back to school...(I’ll give ya a good deal on your school supplies…I promise.) (And please don’t get me started on seeing Christmas trees in stores before Halloween.)
Okay. End of Rant. HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!
